Argos Sign Benjie Franklin

Toronto Argonauts

The Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive back Benjie Franklin, according to an official team announcement that was issued on Tuesday (h/t CFL.ca).

Franklin, 26, is coming off brief stints with the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers in 2023 and Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022 as an undrafted free agent at the NFL level.

Franklin spent his college career playing at Tarleton State from 2019-2021, playing  in 29 games and recorded 103 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, eight interceptions, and one fumble recovery, and started his college career at Navarro College from 2017-2018 where  he was the 2018 Defensive Player of the Year after a six-interception season.
